QA Engineer (Hospitality Industry)

Project Description

Requires the ability to work with minimum supervision while ensuring the highest quality assurance and testing standards.

Client’s environment is very fast-paced and requires the developers to be able to process and develop complex business requirements in a rapidly changing environment. Strong written and oral communication and organization skills are a must for a QA to succeed.

  • Familiar with Agile/Scrum SDLC methodology;
  • Experience with Integration API testing via Rest and Soap services with JSON and XML;
  • Experience with QA tools, such as Qmetry, Jira, Confluence;
  • Experience writing test cases and tracking defects;
  • Experience in understanding and executing SQL queries;
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills;
  • Detail-oriented with a strong ability to prioritize and deliver results;
  • Must be able to adapt to changing requirements and priorities;
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and a strong team player;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Experience with test automation a plus;
Job Requirements
  • Analyze requirements, user stories, and test plans and develop test cases;
  • Execute test cases and troubleshoot unintended results via log files, SQL queries, and Postman;
  • Attend Backlog Grooming and estimate testing effort;
  • Attend daily standups to report progress and blockers;
  • Regularly report overall project status, including test case execution statistics and defect status;
  • Work independently to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and escalate as needed;
  • Work closely with other QA Lead to learn technical and business knowledge;
  • Advocate quality by adhering to QA best practices;
