Project Description

The project is an advanced cardiac safety platform designed for various applications, including clinical trials, healthcare facilities, and pharmaceutical monitoring. This technology offers a portable, lightweight, and paperless solution that integrates seamlessly with leading Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems, making it highly efficient for capturing and analyzing cardiac data. Also there is a Kotlin-based application that runs on AWS, specifically designed to manage and securely store sensitive patient ECG data using PostgreSQL. This setup ensures both the robust handling of critical health information and the scalability needed to support healthcare providers' demands.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain an AWS-hosted web application using Kotlin;
  • Collaborate with backend and frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic through RESTful APIs;
  • Optimize an application for maximum speed and scalability;
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code;
  • Provide troubleshooting and resolving issues related to database performance, application security, and data integrity;
  • Conduct code reviews and maintain documentation to ensure code quality and compliance with healthcare data regulations;
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and apply them to operations and activities;

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
  • Proficiency in the Kotlin programming language and its ecosystem;
  • Experience with AWS services for hosting and managing applications;
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL or any other relational DB;
  • Understanding of secure coding practices, especially related to healthcare data (potentially including HIPAA compliance);
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to integrate ECG data seamlessly and securely;
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to develop scalable, efficient solutions;
  • Experience with graphical programming libraries (e.g. OpenGL, DirectX) is a plus;
  • Level of English - from Upper-Intermediate (spoken/written);
